Business Scenario:
Protecting against data loss and ensuring fast restoration after
outages in Windows environments. A reliable, low-cost business
continuance solution providing data replication, data recovery, data
migration, centralized backup, and failover of server identity and
applications.
Solution:
The Soluion provides server-based local and remote asynchronous
replication
for Microsoft Windows environments. The replication solution
replicates files, directories, volumes, shares, and registry
keys—on a schedule or in real time—from a source system to a
target system or systems using TCP/IP connectivity, regardless
of data location. It operates over local area network (LAN) and
wide area network (WAN) connections as well as across Windows
domains. It does not require proprietary or specialized hardware
and can be installed and administered remotely. |
Features:
Provides server-based asynchronous, real-time, byte-level
replication of files, directories, volumes, shares, and
registry keys from source to target systems for Windows
environments running on LANs or WANs |
Performs locally and remotely in one-to-one, one-to-many, and
many-to-one configurations, providing multiple levels of data
recovery, distribution, and consolidation |
Protects data by providing a remote, consistent copy at all
times. Ensures data recovery with Microsoft VSS, EMC® CLARiiON®
SnapView™, and custom script integration. |
Supports any storage device; does not require proprietary
hardware |
Reduces remote office expenses—hardware, media, and
administration—by replicating data to a central location for
backup |
Minimizes data and application downtime and increases user
productivity with automated server failover to a remote target |
Benefits to the Enterprise/Customer

Ensures the recoverability of Exchange 2003 database |
Provides server failover to a remote target |
Offers real-time, asynchronous, bidirectional replication over
any distance in standard LAN and WAN TCP/IP network
environments |
Supports one-to-one, many-to-one, one-to-many, and
many-to-many configurations |
Includes server-failover capabilities to ensure that when one
server becomes unavailable, it can automatically re-host to
another server, preserving the end user’s ability to access
and use data and applications |
Supports replication of open files |
Replicates only the changes in Windows data as they are
written, minimizing network traffic and ensuring write
consistency |
Replicates data between and among Windows NT, 2000, and 2003
Server Systems and Windows NAS devices |
